Antiquorum actively prepares its greater auction sale which will proceed on December 10, 2008 in its American offices on Madison Avenue in New York (the United States).

      Antiquorum, leader world of the auction sales in the field of the clock industry, is happy to announce the next sale “of Important Wrist watches, Montres of Pocket, Horloges and Instruments Clock making “which will be held the 28 and March 29, 2009 with the Large Kempinski Hotel of Geneva. This sale will be held during the living room Baselworld 2009, which attracts each year the largest clock and watch makers and jewelers of the world. The sale, which will be made up of 481 batches, gathers a remarkable selection of very refined watches, manufactured by clock and watch makers of international fame.

      The parts headlights of this spring sale include/understand in particular two watches Patek Philippe very rare, both emblematic of the mark: a pink gold watch 18 carats, ref. 1518, with special dial including of the enameled Arab numerals, estimated between CHF 600.000 and CHF 800.000, and a watch in yellow gold 18 carats, ref. 2499/100, manufactured with 349 specimens only and estimated between CHF 280.000 and CHF 350.000.

      The Collection of an Italian Gentleman will cause certainly all the attentions. It is indeed about a private collection of most interesting, made up of almost 30 Rolex wrist watches representing the most outstanding models manufactured by Rolex since the Forties.

      More than 500 batches of watches bracelets, watches of pocket and clock elements of large collectors, will be proposed at the time of the sale, of which a significant number will be sold without price of reserve.

      The experts will be happy to note that very first Patek Philippe ref. 5020, No. 3045000, will be proposed at the time of the auction sale of December. Called “TV Watch” (Watch TV) and created in 1994, this famous model is a watch bracelet in yellow gold 18 carats, extremely rare, of form barrel, astronomical and seals, equipped with a round push rod stop watch, a posting over 12 midnight and an everlasting calendar with the phases of the moon. It is estimated between 140.000 and 180.000 dollars.

      Also let us underline the presence of a model from Franck Muller, Caliber 97 “Great and Small Ringing, Repetition minutes – Everlasting calendar”. Produced in 1997, this single part is a watch bracelet out of platinum and diamonds combining several major complications such as: great and small ringing, repetition minutes, everlasting calendar, the equation of time, phases of the moon and a posting over 12 midnight. It is estimated between 300.000 and 350.000 dollars

      Among the other exceptional results, one Rolex having belonged to the pilot of Formula 1 Ayrton Senna 36.000 CHF were allocated, that is to say four times the estimate. An exceptional price was carried out by a watch of pocket of 1910 of F. Tissot (batch 569), acquired by a museum for the price of 92.400 CHF. In a general way, the watches of pocket were very well sold, being bought mainly by European purchasers, like the batch 739, which reached 155.400 CHF. Watches of sport Rolex were very well sold all, with an exceptional price for batch 724, one “Milgauss” Ref. 1019, which was sold 87.600 CHF and “Cosmograph Daytona” in yellow gold (batch 309) which reached the sum of 98000 CHF.
