Always paying tribute to luxury and sophistication, Blancpain has always sought to improve the world of watch manufacturing with its latest watch collections that present the most innovative and revolutionary timepieces and the most unique designs there is. The technological know-how was always a top priority of the Blancpain’s designers and their creations, although highly complicated and technically sophisticated, managed to blend together the spirit of tradition and past with the future and its contemporary values.

The timepieces presented by Blancpain over the years have never remained anonymous in the watch making industry, as every new creation of this brand becomes a masterpiece of Haute Horlogerie.

The L-Evolution Collection presented this year by Blancpain at the Baselworld was of a huge success, showing the watch connoisseurs that Blancpain’s top position is well deserved as the brand continues on the same direction of absolute dedication, success and quality.

La piece de resistance of the L-Evolution Collection was the new Moon Phase 8 Jours Watch, an extremely beautiful timepiece made of 18 k red gold or stainless steel. The designers have chosen some sporty features, making of this watch a symbol of masculinity and confidence. The 43.5 mm in diameter case is robustly shaped to offer space to the powerful mechanism that it shelters. The mechanism used by the new Blancpain L-Evolution Moon Phase 8 Jours Watch is self-winding and provides a 100 m water resistance. This mechanism is also responsible for providing the calendar and power reserve functions. The calendar represents the most important complication in this timepiece, a complication which was manufactures by the best watch making professionals and which offers the best of precision. The Calibre 66R9 offers the possibility for this timepiece to display a triple calendar, with its moon phase function located at the 6 o’clock position, the date function indicated by traditional central pointers, while the day and month appear below the 12 o’clock position.

The power-reserve indicator can be found at the 12 o’clock position and the unbelievable 8 days power reserve provided by the new Blancpain L-Evolution Moon Phase 8 Jours Watch is shown through a semi-circular arch.

Regarding its dial, the designers have chosen to use a vertical Cotes-de-Geneve pattern on a three dimensional dial. The dial is quite legible, even though it’s not equipped with Arabic numerals to tell the time. Only two Roman numerals are present at the 3 and 9 o’clock positions. The oversized numerals offer a classy, yet contemporary look and also, give symmetry to the design of the dial.

The absolute legibility of the dial is assured by the luminescent markers and also by the traditional functions’ indicators, which are also PVD coated. The case is covered in sapphire crystal and the strap can be either of rubber, ceramics or stainless steel, as it’s easily detachable due to its exterior lugs.
