Bvlgari is a founded Italian company in 1884, activates in the field of luxury, mainly of jeweler, but also o’clock, of perfumes and of the top-of-the-range accessories.
In the beginning Bvlgari were a family of Greek goldsmiths, originating in the small village of Kalarites, in the mountains of Empire, where one of wire, Sotirio, carries out invaluable parts of silver goldsmith. In 1880, Sotirio emigrates in Italy and opens in 1884 its first shop on Via Sistina, in Rome.

     In 1905, with its sons Constantino and Giorgio, it inaugurates the shop of Via Candiotti, which is today still, the shop headlight of Bvlgari and seat of the general direction.

     At the time of the 125e birthday of the foundation of the mark Bvlgari, of the name of its founder, Sotirio Bvlgari, the mark of Italian inspiration created three commemorative editions created each one with 125 specimens, with case 42 mm out of pink, yellow or white gold. The know-how of Bvlgari enables him to develop and produce movements with in-house complications, witnesses the models Diagono Tourbillon and Diagono Phases of the Moon.

     All the models of the collection Sotirio Bvlgari are characterized by their horns fixed at the bottom from the case and formant from the convergent angles. This new structure offers an extreme impact resistance, in spite of a minimal contact with the case, and allows a refined and precise alternation of polished and brushed surfaces. The watches are also equipped with a personalized crown of winder, glass anti-reflecting treated convex sapphire and with a bottom of transparent case. The silver plated dial is carried out by Bvlgari; the Roman numerals and the faceted indices are applied to the hand. The needles of the hours and the minutes’ openwork and are faceted.

     Gauge BVL 347 of the model Diagono Phases of the Moon, with posting of the phases of the Moon, has also retrograde posting with 150 degrees of the day of the month and the day of the week. It is composed of 347 parts, finished and assembled with the hand. Equipped with a swiveling disc whose arrows distinguish the phase increasing from the decreasing phase as of a needle indicating the eight phases of the Moon. Another exclusive element: the skeleton of the oscillating mass, realized with six elements different and eight types of completions entirely carried out with the hand.

     Show Diagono Phases of the Moon with case 42 mm out of pink gold 18 carats, glass sapphire anti-stripes and transparent bottom. Dial multi-layer manufactured by Bvlgari with struck treatment and indices and meters applied to the hand. Movement manufactured in-house by Bvlgari, gauges BVL 347, with automatic reassembly composed of 347 parts. Indicator of reserve of walk (44 H), 46 rubies, 28′ 800 A/H (4 Hz), 28,00 mms diameter on 5,83 mm thickness, decorated with the hand with beaded effect and “drawn features”.

     Posting retrogresses (150°) of the day and the day of the month and posting of the phases of the Moon. Oscillating mass skeleton with engraved ring. Bracelet in maroon alligator with deploying loop with two pink gold blades 18 carats. Seal up to 50 meters. Edition limited to 350 specimens with number engraved on the side of the case.
The new versions present moreover a bottom basin out of gold 18 carats, which opens to reveal the mechanics of the movement, witness long and untiring search of perfection. The bracelet in alligator is decorated a Bvlgari loop with gold tongue 18 carats. The three commemorative editions Sotirio Bvlgari will be available as from September 2009 at the price of 29 000 euros.
