House of Chopard releases the new Jacky Ickx Edition V watch, a result of the close friendship between Belgian racing driver Jacky Ickx and Chopard co-president Karl-Friedrich Scheufele.

Limited to 2000 pieces, the Chopard Jacky Ickx Edition V watch is a tribute to one of the most iconic automobile competitions – the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race.

The 42.40mm steel case is rendered in a sportive style, while the bezel comes engraved with a tachometric scale. The case features steel pushers and screw-lock crown, as well as a 6/24 inscription on the bottom. The model is 50-meter water-resistant.

The black dial of the new Chopard Jacky Ickx Edition V watch sports central hours and minutes indicated by rhodium-plated hands treated with Superluminova. There is a small seconds black counter located at 3 o`clock.

The chronograph functions are shown by the 24-hour sub-dial at 6 o’clock, the 60-minute counter at 9 o’clock, but also the central sweep-seconds hand tipped with a red arrow and plated with rhodium. The dial also provides stop seconds and fly-back functions, as well as date indication in the upper part of the display.

The functions of the new Chopard watch are assured by a mechanical self-winding movement which is also certified as a chronometer by the COSC. The caliber includes 49 jewels and beats with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The mechanism provides a 40-hour power reserve.

The Chopard Jacky Ickx Edition V watch is secured with a black hand-sewn alligator leather strap matched to a steel folding clasp.
