        The perfect opportunity for Concord to display its latest creations in 2010 was the Baselworld 2010 event, where through the watch presentations made by Concord, the brand shined again as one of the top brands of this industry. The star piece of the exhibition was the new Concord C1 MecaTech Watch, a timepiece that impressed the audience through its powerful and masculine design, whose case construction was the main focus.

        When it comes to its design, the new Concord C1 MecaTech Watch approaches the limit of looking like an instrument rather than an actual timepiece, but this powerful and rough appearance seems to be the base of its appeal. The case of the watch measures considerable dimensions, 44 mm in diameter, and it is crafted from three materials combined together into creating this extra-resistant case. In the construction of the case the designers used stainless steel, PVD treatment and 18 K rose gold, the latter being used to diminish a bit the row aspect of its design. The powerful and appealing combination of these materials proved to be the perfect choice not only in terms of design, but in terms of functionality as well. The case construction can resist up to 200 m of diving, as the bezel is equipped with 8 black rubber protections.

        The dial of the new Concord C1 MecaTech Watch is just as impressive as its case, being characterized by amazing legibility and sporty features. On the dial we can spot the following functions: two chronograph sub-dials at 12 and 6 o’clock positions, traditional hands displaying the hours, minutes and seconds, a date window located at three o’clock, and a small seconds disk. Everything displayed on this dial approaches a futuristic appearance and the design of the dial manages to recreate one of the most sportive and active designs seen in the past few years.

        Like most of Concord’s creation, this watch too is equipped with a COSC certified movement that allows the functions of the chronograph to work with the utmost accuracy, supports the traditional functions of telling time and has the capacity of generating 48 hours of power reserve. The working of this mechanism can be seen through the transparent case back made of extremely resistant sapphire crystal.
As for the strap choice, the designers have used for this new Concord C1 MecaTech Watch a black alligator strap treated to gain a rubberized appearance and endowed with a buckle specific to Concord watches.
