        The new Endurer by Daniel Roth is defined by words such as: tenacity, strength or endurance and its design, as well as the words that define it, are inspired by kendo, the most popular form of martial arts in Japan.

        The watch is meant to be an imitation of the masks used by kendokas in order to protect their faces, heads, shoulders and torsos. Just as the mask, the watch displays a number of 15 bars imitating a grill and an oval shape, enlarging this way the list of similarities between the two objects.

         The case, measuring 41 x 44 mm is crafted from steel and has a water resistance that goes up to 100 meters. The Chrono sprint functions are powered by a push-button located between 7 and 8 o’clock and the bezel has a number of six screws in order to underline the manly aspect given by the source of inspiration.

        Even though Endurer doesn’t have the most complex mechanism or an astonishing, eye-catching aspect, it surely is one of the best timepieces produced by Daniel Roth. The main complications of the watch are: hours, minutes, chronograph and date, lacking seconds.
