         The model Eterna Kontiki is Eterna’s latest creation designed especially to mark this occasion, its name being inspired by Thor Heyerdahl, who was an explorer famous for its Pacific expedition. The watch is extremely elegant and made of only the finest materials, as to emphasize on the importance of such event.

         The case of the new Eterna Kontiki watch is made of 18 K pink gold, being roundly shaped and prolonged with lugs as to make the connection between the case and the strap. The elegant pink gold material matches perfectly the brown leather strap, creating a distinctive and high-class look. To preserve the design theme dedicated to Thor Heyerdahl, the designers have chosen to use a pattern imitating ropes used in the manufacturing of the raft of the explorer.

         The dial has a beautiful symmetry created by the four Arabic numerals bordered in luminescent triangles, at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock positions. The other hours are marked by simple indices and the dial also presents a date window between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock, traditional minute, hour and second functions indicators, which are luminescent, and the logo of the Eterna brand, under the 12 o’clock position.

         The mechanism is almost predictable, as Eterna has managed to create its own mechanism, even though by some, it has a relatively short watch manufacturing tradition. Apparently, this is where talent and passion can lead, as the designers from Eterna have come up with the extremely functional and reliable 3010 caliber, which by all means, provides the watch with the best level of accuracy.

         Definitely proficient in terms of technical performance, it is the design of the watch that impresses. The line of Eterna Kontiki was limited to only 50 pieces, which will most certainly end up on the wrists of the most loyal Eterna fans, and not only.
