With an impressive tradition in watch manufacturing, the House of Jaeger LeCoultre has proposed amazing mechanisms and prestigious designs over the years, while trying to maintain all the time the traditional standards of watch manufacturing untouched. Always putting a great emphasis on technical innovation and original designs, this brand has managed to bring on the market some of the most beautiful and progressive watches of our times. The brand Jaeger-LeCoultre was established back in 1833, so you can imagine that no brand could have lasted so long if it hadn’t been for the dedication of its designers, who driven by passion and a genuine desire to revolutionize the world of watch manufacturing have designed masterpieces of watch manufacturing.

The exceptional Collection presented to us by Jaeger- LeCoultre this year goes by the name of the Jaeger-LeCoultre – Hybris Mechanica 55 Collection, which features three amazing timepieces: Hybris Mechanica a Grande Sonnerie, the Hybris Mechanica a Triptyque watch and the Hybris Mechanica Gyrotourbillon watch. All these three timepieces are masterpieces of Haute Horlogerie and they all represent definitions of excellence and technical performance.

The new Jaeger-LeCoultre – Hybris Mechanica 55 a Grande Sonnerie Watch has found its inspiration in the Tower of Big Ben from the UK, as it has the ability to reproduce a melody that could last up to 12 hours. The long-lasting tradition in watch manufacturing of Jaeger-LeCoultre has paid off with the creation of this amazing watch, that not only it displays one of the most sophisticated designs; it is also equipped with a highly progressive movement, which has taken 5 years to be completed.

The dial of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre – Hybris Mechanica 55 a Grande Sonnerie Watch is originally designed and it displays functions indispensile to any watch. The days of the month are displayed on the left side of the dial, with indication from 1 to 31, which go along the flying tourbillon. The main functions are displayed in a sub-dial, surrounded by the indications of the days of the week, on the lower right side, with the upper side indicates the months of the year. Even though the dial displays so many functions, the designers from Jaeger-LeCoultre have found the best way to place these indications as not to create a crowded appearance, the dial being very legible.

Regarding its technical movement, we can add that the new Jaeger-LeCoultre – Hybris Mechanica 55 a Grande Sonnerie Watch works on a mechanical hand-winding movement, made of 1300 parts that goes by the name of Calibre 182. This highly complicated mechanism provides a 50 h power reserve, and if on grand sonnerie mode, a power reserve of only 12 hours. In the manufacturing of this mechanism, so many techniques and innovative components have been used that at the moment the house of Jaeger-LeCoultre is waiting for the approval of its 13 patents.

Definitely a masterpiece of Haute Horlogerie, the new Jaeger-LeCoultre – Hybris Mechanica 55 a Grande Sonnerie Watch rises to the occasion and to the reputation of its manufacturing brand of Jaeger- LeCoultre.
