For a prestigious horological house like Louis Moinet, the inspiration and creativity always lead to an original and unique creation in terms of design and mechanical purity, and this happens even with the new Louis Moinet watch. Inspired by the world of exploration and travel the new creation is a masterpiece of Swiss Haute Horology.

As it always surprised with new innovative and exclusive models, Louis Moinet is understandably proud to announce the release of the Geograph Watch which will be issued in limited edition and presented at BaselWorld 2011 show.

The new timepiece features a large 45.5 mm case made from a matt 316L stainless steel, a readable and balanced dial, a very reliable mechanical movement and an extremely cozy leather strap. Basically the model is the same as any other watch, but if we look closely, the original and atypical design and the sophisticated technology used in its construction, set it apart from the models seen to date.

Specially created for a modern explorer, the 45.5 mm case of the Geograph model is protected on top by a double sapphire crystal with double anti-glare treatment and accommodates a polished bezel and a fluted crown, along with Atlas chronograph push-buttons. Besides, the timepiece features an engraved screwed back, reminiscent of the world of exploration and is built to resists beneath water up to 50 meters.

Installed in the case, the white dial of the new Louis Moinet watch provides an easy read-off of all the functions. Decorated with Cotes-du-Jura motif, the sophisticated dial employs a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock with an original design, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a date window nestled near the seconds sub-dial, all carefully placed to balance the face of the watch. Moreover, the display ensures central hours and minutes and chronograph seconds, as well as central 24-hour second time zone with day and night details. The time is indicated by means of blue hands that spin over the applied facetted indexes and the Arabic numerals.

Furthermore, this exquisitely Geograph Watch is endowed with an highly-accurate movement, the ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic mechanical movement equipped with 25-jewel. The operating system beats with a precision of 28,800 oscillations/hour and stores energy for 48 hours, making the mechanism very reliable.

As mentioned earlier, the new Louis Moinet Geograph model is produced in limited edition of only 60 copies and comes coupled with an elegant black alligator strap provided with safety folding clasp in 316L stainless steel. All that being said the watch collectors and world adventurers have the opportunity to purchase a new exclusivist and high-quality model.
