        The spiritual father of this brand, Louis Moinet, has once stated that the creation process of a timepiece requires talent, effort and passion: “aim to produce an excellent and curious effect”, these were the words of a person who understood the necessity of novelty in a world full of the ordinary and of the tedious.

        The new timepiece presented by Louis Moinet is yet another watch to be admired and analyzed by posterity, due to its revolutionary design concept and its impressive technical movement. The new Vertalis Tourbillon represents the successful combination between an original and daring design and a highly progressive technical movement.

        Especially renowned for its tourbillon, which gives the impression of being in motion, the new Vertalis Tourbillon watch has even more qualities. The tourbillon is famous for its verticality as its carriage is linked to the barrel by a hand-drawn vertical bar. Another strong point is its exclusive hand-wound movement, which activates 21, 600 vibrations/hour assuring a 72 hours power reserve and a 30 meters water resistance. The technical concept of this watch was inspired by Louis Moinet’s Traite d’Horlogerie, written back in 1848, which is even today considered one of the best manuscripts that deals with watch manufacturing techniques.

        The new Louis Moinet Vertalis Tourbillon presents a case made of 50 different components, with an original design not yet patented by Louis Moinet. The material of the case is gold, but not simply gold. The case is made of two gold colors of 18 carats (5 N rose gold combined with white gold) and measures 47 mm in diameter. The case uses as shield a sapphire crystal top and also, a sapphire crystal back. The case-back of the new Louis Moinet Vertalis Tourbillon assures the transparency of the extravagant winding mechanism and it is secured by 4 Louis Moinet screws. Another element included by the case is the Louis Moinet crown guard, assuring the crown replacement in case of accidents.

        The black dial presents two large apertures, one showing the mainspring barrel, while the other the carriage of the tourbillon. The exquisite design of this new Louis Moinet Vertalis Tourbillon determined the brand to offer for the public just a limited edition of 12 watches.
