
Omega introduced the sea master aqua collection of 2008 was well -received by the watch admirers. Aqua Terra Co-Axial GMT Chronograph is a new addition in the aqua range and is a novel watch to get the attention of the watch connoisseurs by its design and technology immediately on entering the market. The vertical lines and the concept of teak on the dial are inspired by the wooden decks of the luxury boats. A scratch proof domed sapphire crystal shields the dial and anti-reflective treatments are provided on both the sides. A luxurious self winding movement is incorporated in the watch.
The COSC- chronometer has certified the outstanding movement of this marvelous timepiece. A chronograph mechanism featuring a column is fitted into this watch. An added feature of this time piece is its water resistance. It can resist water up to 150 meters. A black PVD coated ring with a 24 hour scale is fitted on the bezel. The watch has a diameter of 44 mm and comes in two variants of 18 K gold and stainless steel brushed case. A bi-directional rotating GMT bezel is incorporated in the watch case. The Omega logo and the chronograph pushers are well polished that is demonstrated by incorporating a matt polished screw in crown. The co-axial movement of the watch is revealed through a window made of sapphire crystal on the well polished case back.
The dial of the watch is in teak grey color with three sub dials displaying the seconds at 9 0’ clock, a 30 minute counter at 3 o’ clock and a counter for 12 hour is at 6 o’ clock. The date function can be adjusted through a small opening between 4 o clock and 5 o clock. A distinguishing feature of the watch is the display of GMT at the center. A red arrow tip of the GMT hand does the job of showing the time. The hands for hour, minute and GMT are made of 18 K gold and is coated with super- luminova for easy readability.
The hour markers are triangular in shape and crafted in 18K gold and the sides are polished with diamond. The logo of the company and the name of the company are also in 18k gold. The time piece is available in red gold version as well as stainless steel version. The red gold version comes with a bracelet of 18 Karat gold and the Omega’s screw& pin system that is patented. This system is also present in the stainless steel variant. An alligator skin strap is provided with both the variants for soft touch. The brand is already established in the market for the style and the functionality.
