Gaining a well-deserved reputation with the introduction of the new Incaflex balance wheel in1927, Wyler Geneve became a brand worthy of the attention of the watch making tradition and the watch connoisseurs worldwide. Founded in 1896 by Paul Wyler, Wyler Geneve has been manufacturing exquisite timepieces ever since that year and it has come to occupy an important place in the charts of the best international watch making brands. Known to be official distributor for Eterna and official sponsor of many sport-oriented competitions, Wyler Geneve always brings a breeze of fresh air in this industry by proposing innovative mechanism sheltered by the most sporty and futuristic designs.
Renowned for the Code – R collection of watches, Wyler Geneve has worked on improving and upgrading some of the models from that collection and presented them in Special Editions, as each new Special Edition Model has a story behind. The new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph was inspired by the long-term involvement and partnership of the brand with the Binda Group from Italy. For any brand of watches, promotion and publicity represent an essential part of the brand’s success on the market, and in Italy, the Binda family assured this aspect for Wyler Geneve. The rudimentary publicity of those times has gained value when Binda made Wyler Geneve the official brand of watched for the World Cup of 1934, when all football players appeared wearing original Wyler Geneve watches on their wrists.
With an interesting story behind it, the new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph has much more to tell, starting from the exquisite design, the quality of the materials employed in its manufacturing to the extremely progressive technical movement it provides. The design is similar to the watches included in the Code-R collection, just that the colors are slightly different. Featuring a stainless steel case secured with four lateral screws, the design of the new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph watch is quite sporty and accessible.
The blue dial of the new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph watch reminds the football enthusiasts of the color of the Italy’s team’s jerseys back in 1934. The blue colored dial is accompanied by white detailing for the sub-dials of the chronograph and the hour markers represented by Arabic numerals. The date-window is located between 4 o’clock and 5 o’clock and another interesting detail that has to be mentioned is that the sub-dial expressing the small seconds counter of the chronograph is adorned with four gold stars representing the four titles won by Italy in football, while the hands pointing to the margins of the sub-dial takes on the colors of Italy’s flag.
The new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph Watch is activated by a self-winding mechanical movement that can assure the traditional functions of hours, minutes and seconds, functions of the chronograph and a date display.
The color of the strap matches the blue dial and completes the sporty appeal of the new Wyler Geneve FIGC Chronograph Watch.
